Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Automotive Dealership Controller located in Burlington, ON. The Automotive Dealership Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the dealership. Core responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial reports, managing budgets, handling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring tax compliance, and supervising the accounting staff. The role also involves collaborating with department managers to ensure financial efficiency, compliance with policies, and accurate reporting of financial performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Budget Management, and Tax Compliance
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll Processing
  • Proficiency in dealership management software, including proficiency in accounting systems and reporting tools
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee and mentor accounting staff
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation is a plus)
  • Prior experience in automotive dealership accounting is highly beneficial
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and management
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Familiar with Automotive DMS's
