Job Description
BMW Montreal Centre is seeking a dynamic and rigorous Controller to join our team of over 180 professionals in the heart of Montreal. You bring at least one year of experience in management control or accounting and wish to evolve within a group recognized for its expertise and high-level customer service. This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the financial performance of an authorized BMW dealership while developing your skills in a technological and results-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring the accuracy of reports and monitoring variances against budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee closing processes, bank reconciliations, management of accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow control.
- Drive operational cost control, margins, and inventories; propose actions for optimization and profitability.
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to implement robust internal controls and improve financial processes.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensure compliance with accounting standards and local requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and procedures, and support reporting initiatives for management.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in management control or accounting; experience in the automotive sector or retail is an asset.
- Proficiency with ERP tools and Excel; knowledge of accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and Quebec tax requirements.
- Analytical mindset, rigor, autonomy, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual in French/English is an asset.
