Viau Ford, a Ford dealership located in Saint-Rémi, QC, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join its dynamic and service-oriented workshop.
Job Description As a Mechanic / Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Ford new and used vehicles to ensure their reliability and customer satisfaction. You will perform electronic and mechanical diagnostics, conduct preventive maintenance and repairs, and collaborate with the team to propose the best technical solutions while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain vehicles according to Ford standards and internal procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance (belts, brakes, hydraulic brakes, transmission systems, suspension, air conditioning, etc.).
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify fault codes and recommend optimal interventions.
- Read and interpret diagrams, electrical and electronic systems; estimate parts and time required.
- Carefully document work performed and ensure traceability of interventions.
- Comply with safety standards, quality control procedures, and productivity goals.
- Participate in ongoing training and share knowledge with the team.
Desired Profile
- Minimum requirement: 5 years of experience in auto mechanics (diagnostics and repairs).
- Experience in truck repair with diesel engines.
- Relevant diploma in auto mechanics (DEP or equivalent) is an asset.
- Good team spirit, customer service orientation, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.
