Job Duties:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot and isolate faults on various automotive systems using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Assemble, disassemble, adjust, repair and replace parts and components of automotive systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to review work orders and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Adhere to established health and safety protocols.
- Advise customers on the completion of work, vehicle condition and future repair schedule.
- May assist with welding tasks for repairs or modifications as required.
- May assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as required.
Employment Requirements:
- Minimum of four years’ experience as an automotive service technician or similar.
- New Brunswick trade certification as an automotive service technician is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Capacity to work efficiently, multi-task and perform well under pressure.
- Completion of secondary school.
- English language ability.
Job Details:
- $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Opportunity to earn an efficiency bonus.
- Permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
