Job Description
Attached to the service department, the Automobile Preparer plays a key role in delivering vehicles to the highest visual quality standards before they are put up for sale or delivered to the customer. He/she is responsible for ensuring an impeccable aesthetic finish on each vehicle.
Main responsibilities
- Complete aesthetic preparation: Meticulous interior and exterior washing of vehicles (carpet shampooing, leather treatment, paint decontamination).
- Finishing and correction (Buffing): Correct minor body imperfections (polishing, waxing, removal of micro-scratches).
- Visual safety inspection: Perform a basic check before delivery (tire pressure, windshield washer fluid levels, presence of manuals and duplicate keys) and report any anomalies to the mechanical department.
- Installation of basic accessories: Install aesthetic protections, original mats, license plates or dealership stickers.
- Lot management and logistics: Safely move vehicles around the lot and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Profile sought
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years in automotive aesthetics or vehicle preparation (a major asset).
- Attention to detail: Sharp focus on finish and cleanliness (dealership delivery standards).
- Legal requirements: Valid class 5 driver's license (mandatory for moving vehicles).
