Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Automotive Accounting Controller who is detail-oriented to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automotive accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage a team of accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Coordinate and lead the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and issue monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
- Support monthly and annual financial closing processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Desired profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; desirable: CPA or MBA.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Preference for previous experience in the automotive dealership sector.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in dealership management software (SERTI).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
