Job Description
CARSTAR Vaudreuil, located in Vaudreuil-Dorion, is seeking an experienced Estimator / Manager to lead our estimation and repair coordination department.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish accurate and competitive estimates for auto repairs using appropriate estimation software (Audatex, Mitchell, CCC, or equivalents) and ensure the accuracy of records.
- Coordinate interactions between customers, insurance companies, and the shop to provide a smooth and quick customer experience.
- Manage the workflow of repairs, plan interventions, and ensure compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead and supervise the estimation and shop team, train and guide team members, evaluate performance, and promote professional development.
- Analyze costs, margins, and parts to optimize the center’s profitability.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure compliance with insurance policies and company requirements.
- Participate in selection and negotiation with suppliers and insurance companies to ensure favorable conditions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in estimation and management within an auto repair shop.
- Proficiency in estimation programs (Audatex, Mitchell, CCC, or others) and understanding of insurance processes and record management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills; ability to work in a team and lead a team.
- Analytical mindset, demonstrated organizational skills, and results-oriented.
- Relevant training (technical in bodywork, auto estimation, operational management, or equivalent); a degree is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license; fluency in French required; English is an advantage.
