About the Role
South Shore dealership is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead its mechanical operations and after-sales team.
Under the supervision of the regional management, your mandate will be to ensure departmental profitability, optimize operational efficiency, and elevate the customer experience (CSI) to the highest industry standards. You will join a dynamic dealership within a major automotive group offering solid resources and a performance-driven vision.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management and Profitability: Daily oversight of gross profit (DOC), monitoring expenses, reducing unproductive time, and rigorously managing subcontractors.
- Leadership and Team Management: Supervising, motivating, and developing the team of technical advisors, technicians, and clerks. Ensuring staffing planning and monitoring mandatory training.
- Operational Excellence: Streamlining workshop workflows, managing peak periods (tire rush), and maintaining a vehicle reconditioning cycle for used cars below 48 hours.
- Customer Experience (CSI): Actively tracking CSI indicators, addressing alerts and Google reviews, and implementing concrete action plans to exceed brand expectations.
- Marketing and Facility Management: Assisting in the implementation of monthly after-sales promotions and ensuring the proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of service bays.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Proven success as a Service Manager in a high-volume automotive dealership.
- Leadership: Excellent team leader, focused on accountability, transparent communication, and problem-solving.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated mastery of financial ratios within a service department (gross profit, efficiency, productivity, absorption rate).
- Results-Oriented: Proven track record of maintaining high CSI scores and rigorously managing processes.
- Key Asset: Knowledge of the Japanese brand or experience within a large dealership network.
