Job description
Specifically, what will your days look like as a Journeyman Mechanic?
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will participate in various maintenance and repair activities on our different vehicles. You will be responsible for:
- Good skills in advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
- Replacement/repair of engines and transmissions.
- Replacement of suspension and steering parts.
- Performing tire installations, including rotation and balancing.
- Performing maintenance and repairs on automobiles and vans.
- Brake systems (mechanical and ABS).
- Assisting apprentice technicians as needed.
- Ability to analyze electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of electric vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with Mitchell ProDemand is a plus.
- A keen sense of resourcefulness.
- Knowledge of ADAS systems (camera, blind spot sensors, radar).
- Knowledge of air conditioning (diagnosis and repair).
- Knowledge of OBD2 communication line diagnostics (Can bus).
