We are seeking an experienced credit agent to join our team in Drummondville, Quebec. This position, offered on a strictly confidential basis, supports auto financing in collaboration with our partner dealerships. A minimum of one year of experience in the credit or financing field is required.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate automobile credit applications, determining eligibility and appropriate terms.
• Verify documents (income, employment history, identification documents, bank statements, etc.) and ensure the accuracy of the information provided.
• Assess risk and perform solvency analyses using credit reports and internal resources.
• Prepare and present appropriate financing offers, including rates, terms, and associated insurance options.
• Negotiate terms with customers and with partner financial institutions, adhering to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with sales teams and dealerships to ensure a smooth customer experience and rapid file closures.
• Ensure compliance and maintain complete and up-to-date files in credit management systems (CRM and internal tools).
• Monitor balances, payments, and potential delinquencies, proposing appropriate actions.
• Participate in the ongoing improvement of credit processes and share best practices with the team.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in financing or loan processing, ideally in the automotive sector.
• Knowledge of automotive financing products, underwriting mechanisms, and risk management practices.
• Strong analytical ability and aptitude for interpreting financial information and credit reports.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in French; English is an advantage.
• Customer service orientation, team spirit, and ability to advise and support customers in their financing options.
• Proficiency with computer tools (MS Office) and credit management/CRM systems.
• Rigour, discretion, and attention to meeting deadlines and procedures.
• Education: a post-secondary degree in finance, administration, economics, or a related field; relevant experience may compensate.
• Valid driver's license and availability to work as operational needs require.
