Job Description
Eastview Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd, a recognized dealership representing Chevrolet, Buick and GMC, is looking for an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our team in Kapuskasing, Ontario. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain and repair the mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of new and pre-owned Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and routine repairs within the established timelines.
- Interpret schematics, codes, and data from diagnostic tools, write clear service reports, and follow up.
- Collaborate with the after-sales service to ensure a seamless customer experience and durable solutions.
- Manage parts and tooling, ensure safety and compliance with quality standards and internal procedures.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and process improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive mechanic experience.
- Relevant diploma (vocational diploma in automotive mechanics or equivalent); certification and licenses as required by local regulations are desirable.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical and electronic systems).
- Reading technical schematics and use of modern diagnostic tools.
- Valid driver's license; team player and customer service mindset.
- Fluent in French; functional English is an asset.
