Job Description Fichault Kia, an auto dealership located in Châteauguay, Quebec, is seeking a motivated and versatile Mechanic / Technician to join their dynamic team. You will work on Kia vehicles and other brands, ensuring maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with precision and attention to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of assigned vehicles
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and performance tests
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and warranty procedures
- Collaborate with the service advisor and sales team to ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Accurately document interventions and comply with safety standards and quality standards
- Actively participate in training activities and continuous process improvement
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in automotive mechanics
- Open to graduates with a DEP in automotive mechanics and apprentices (under supervision)
- Knowledge of modern automotive systems and technologies; experience with electronic diagnostics and OBD II tools is an advantage
- Valid driver's license
- Good team spirit, service-oriented attitude, and ability to work in a quality-focused environment
- Fluent French; functional English is an advantage
