Job Description
Valley Toyota in Chilliwack, British Columbia, is seeking a Red Seal Mechanic/Technician to join our high-volume service department. This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for a skilled, efficient, and motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. Role and responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a high volume of vehicles with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Perform a wide range of service and repair tasks, including engine performance, electrical systems, braking, steering and suspension, drivability, and routine maintenance
- Interpret OEM repair information and use modern diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding diagnosis, required parts, and timelines
- Ensure work is completed to Valley Toyota standards and in compliance with safety and manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; adhere to dealership processes and quality control
- Mentor and support junior technicians or apprentices as needed
What we’re looking for
- Red Seal Automotive Technician certification is required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume shop
- Strong diagnostic skills and a relentless focus on quality and productivity
- Experience with Toyota systems is a plus; ability to work on a variety of makes and models
- Proficient with electrical and electronic diagnostics and the use of OEM service information
- Valid BC driver’s license; own hand tools are requires
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
- Physically capable of performing typical technician tasks in a busy shop environment
