Tesla Dartmouth, located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, invites you to join our workshop dedicated to electric vehicles and sustainable energy systems. As a Mechanic / Technician, you will play a key role in the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of our mobility and energy solutions, directly contributing to our mission of a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair electric vehicles and propulsion systems, including electronic components and batteries.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with procedures and safety standards.
• Diagnose faults using specialized tools and diagnostic software; interpret electrical diagrams and repair manuals.
• Work rigorously on high-voltage safety protocols and promote a safety culture in the workshop.
• Document interventions and keep maintenance records up to date.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and service teams to improve processes, reduce downtime and increase quality.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and regularly train on emerging technologies.
• Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative work environment, and share best practices within the team.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in mechanical or technical maintenance, ideally in automotive and/or electric vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems; experience with high-voltage batteries is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, repair manuals and service procedures.
• Technical degree or equivalent in mechanics, electromechanics or a related field.
• Valid driver's license; ability to work standing and in a workshop.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to thrive in an inclusive and diverse culture.
• Proficiency in French; operational English is an advantage.
