Job Description Vision Chevrolet Buick GMC Inc., located in Delson, Quebec, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our dynamic, service-oriented shop. You will work on GM network vehicles as well as used vehicles, in an environment focused on quality and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the technicians and the after-sales service team.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic systems of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, air conditioning and electronic circuits.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs under warranty and out of warranty according to GM manufacturer standards.
- Carry out diagnostics using state-of-the-art equipment and OBD-II diagnostic tools.
- Log interventions, draft intervention reports and clearly communicate descriptions of work and estimated costs to the customer and to the service.
- Adhere to safety procedures, quality requirements and deadlines.
- Work in collaboration with other technicians and service advisors to ensure an optimal customer experience.
Qualifications required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an automobile mechanic / technician.
- DEP in Automotive Mechanics or equivalent recognized experience.
- Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical and electronic systems, and diagnostics with modern tools (OBD-II, multimeter, etc.).
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and propose reliable repairs.
- Good teamwork, service mindset and excellent communication with customers.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work according to required hours (and occasional availability for overtime as needed).
- Continuous improvement mindset and adaptation to GM manufacturer protocols.
