Job Description
OK Tires, located in Gatineau, Quebec, is looking for a Mechanic / Technician or Apprentice, with at least 1 year of experience, to join our dynamic and service-oriented team. Our establishment is closed on weekends, ensuring a good work-life balance.
Your responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles; perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Mount, dismount, balance, and change tires; perform rotations and alignments.
- Work on braking, suspension, exhaust, and electrical systems, and interpret diagnostic codes.
- Read and complete service reports, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
- Work as a team to provide quick and reliable service.
Desired profile
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics or an equivalent role; apprentices accepted if experience is present.
- Relevant diploma or training in automotive mechanics, or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of diagnostic tools and tire equipment (mounting/dismounting tires, balancing, alignment).
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
