Job Description
We are Joliette Ford Lincoln, a member of the St-Jean Group, a major player and proud children of Joliette. Located in Joliette, Quebec, we are part of a family group that has contributed to the local economy for over 40 years and employs more than 300 people in the Greater Joliette area. As part of our used vehicle reconditioning activity, we are seeking a Mechanic / Technician, specializing in used vehicle reconditioning, resourceful and attentive to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the complete reconditioning of used vehicles by inspecting, diagnosing, and performing necessary mechanical, electrical, and aesthetic repairs.
- Perform work related to the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning, as well as touch-ups and final preparations before sale.
- Conduct road tests and safety checks to ensure that vehicles meet the standards of the St-Jean Group and Joliette Ford Lincoln.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment and ensure traceability of interventions in our system.
- Collaborate with the sales team and after-sales service to meet reconditioning deadlines and requirements.
- Manage inventory of parts and ensure quality and safety throughout the process.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years experience in vehicle reconditioning or in a similar role in automotive mechanics.
- Degree or equivalent training in automotive mechanics (DEP or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of modern vehicles; aptitude for diagnosis using specialized tools.
- Resourceful spirit, ability to quickly solve problems and work independently while demonstrating excellent team spirit.
- Attention to detail, rigor, a sense of safety, and adherence to quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and document interventions.
- Valid driver's license and sufficient mobility; willingness to attend training.
- French language; English is an asset.
