Job Description
Tesla Kelowna, located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our dynamic team. Experience required: at least 5 years in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair the mechanical and electrical systems of electric vehicles and energy storage solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with the highest procedures and safety standards.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify and resolve failures quickly and accurately.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical documentation, and apply software updates when necessary.
- Work in collaboration with production, quality, and service teams to ensure traceability and continuous improvement.
- Keep the workshop and tools in order, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and safety by sharing best practices and supporting improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (mechanical/electromechanical or equivalent).
- Technical diploma or equivalent training in automotive mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems of vehicles and batteries; ability to diagnose and resolve problems with finesse.
- Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical schematics; ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to adapt to operational requirements and the workshop pace.
- Commitment to safety and quality; curiosity and willingness to learn are highly valued.
