Canadian Tire - Kirkland is seeking a passionate Automotive Mechanic / Technician to join its service center and handle maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
Job Description
- Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on different types of vehicles.
- Conduct inspections and checks as necessary to identify mechanical or electrical issues.
- Diagnose problems using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Carry out oil changes, brake replacements, tire changes, battery replacements, filters, spark plugs, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Perform repairs and replacements of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components according to skills and qualifications.
- Conduct repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
- Properly use tools, equipment, and computer systems provided.
- Verify the quality of work performed before returning the vehicle to the customer.
- Notify the supervisor of any additional issues identified during inspection or repair.
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Respect health and safety procedures as well as company policies and procedures.
- Properly handle and store parts, fluids, oils, and other products used in the work.
- Accurately complete documents and information related to the work performed.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers when required.
- Participate in required training to maintain and develop technical knowledge.
- Perform any other related tasks associated with the position.
