Job description
Champlain Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, located in Montreal, is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to join its workshop. You will contribute to the maintenance, repair and diagnosis of vehicles from the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands, ensuring high-quality service and optimal customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic systems of vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and quality standards.
- Read and interpret diagrams and diagnostics; use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Document interventions and prepare service reports; communicate results and timelines to customers and the supervisor.
- Adhere to safety procedures and warranty requirements; keep the workshop clean and organized.
- Work in collaboration with senior technicians and mechanics; participate in internal training to develop skills.
Qualifications required
- More than 3 years of experience in a similar position required.
- Journeyman qualification certificate
- Knowledge of automotive systems and aptitude for electronic diagnostics; ability to read diagrams; proficiency with diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; teamwork; organization and time management.
- Valid driver's license
- Fluent in French; English is an asset.
