Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Automobile Mechanic/Technician to join Laval Volkswagen, the leading Volkswagen dealership in the Greater Quebec region. Minimum requirement: 3 years of experience.
Job Description
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Volkswagen vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and deadlines.
- Perform preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, and system interventions (engine, transmission, braking, suspension, electrical/electronic diagnostics).
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, OBD diagnostics, and repair workshops with rigor and precision.
- Quickly diagnose causes and propose effective solutions in collaboration with the workshop team.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, work quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Keep technical documentation updated and participate in continuous improvement of workshop processes.
Responsibilities and Environment
- Work in a very modern and spacious workshop, supported by a professional and dynamic team.
- Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to optimize workflow and vehicle turnaround times.
- Actively participate in maintaining standards of excellence and Laval Volkswagen’s legendary reliability.
Qualifications
- Degree in automobile mechanics or recognized equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in auto mechanics required; experience in dealership or automobile diagnostics is an asset.
- Knowledge of Volkswagen vehicle systems and technologies is an advantage.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and excellent communication skills with team and clients.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5).
