Job Description

As part of a confidential mandate, we are recruiting an experienced Sales Director to support the growth of an automotive industry player, based in Saint-Sauveur, Quebec. The position offers the opportunity to steer the business strategy and lead a dedicated team in a dynamic environment focused on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the annual and multi-year business strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead and develop the sales team, oversee recruitment, coaching, evaluation, and talent retention.
  • Manage the sales cycle and pipeline, set ambitious goals, and track performance indicators (revenue, market share, margin, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost).
  • Develop and energize the distribution network and partnerships (dealerships, distributors, B2B clients), optimizing sales and loyalty opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close complex contracts with major accounts and strategic partners, ensuring profitability and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, after-sales, and parts departments to deliver a seamless customer experience and maximize retention.
  • Develop and monitor the sales budget, produce accurate forecasts, and generate reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements specific to the automotive sector.

Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within the automotive industry or a related sector.
  • University degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to unite a team and develop talent.
  • Strong negotiation skills, excellent communication and influence capabilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) and analysis tools (Excel, dashboards).
  • Analytical mindset, results-oriented, with a strong customer service sense.
  • Knowledge of the Quebec automotive market and the B2B network; ability to navigate a competitive environment.
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset; ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
  • Availability for occasional travel as needed.
