Job description
We are looking for a Specialist in the acquisition and merchandising of used vehicles to join our dynamic team. The selected person will play a key role in the strategic management of our used-vehicle inventory (fleet for commercial rental: cars, SUVs, trucks). They will be responsible for market analysis, setting competitive prices, vehicle acquisition, as well as merchandising on our various sales platforms. The position requires a solid understanding of the used-vehicle market, a good analytical mindset, autonomy, and an excellent ability to collaborate with the different services of the organization.
Main responsibilities:
• Identify opportunities and proceed with the acquisition of used vehicles through various channels, including auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, and online markets. • Conduct used-vehicle market analyses to identify trends and adjust pricing strategies. • Assess the market value and condition of vehicles to be acquired, including commercial vehicles. • Determine selling prices that are competitive according to market conditions. • Participate in vehicle acquisitions in collaboration with internal and external partners. • Take professional and attractive photos for our product listings. • Ensure merchandising of vehicles on the website and internal/external sales platforms. • Keep the internal sales platform up to date and ensure the accuracy of inventory information. • Prepare vehicle condition reports for internal use and for resale. • Work closely with the inter-dealer sales department and other departments.
Profile sought:
• Solid knowledge of automotive market values, vehicle valuation, and procurement methods • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the used-vehicle field (required) • Good knowledge of the commercial-vehicle sector (an asset) • Proficiency with computer tools (required) • Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail • High autonomy, organizational skills, and proactivity • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a dynamic environment • Excellent communication skills and team spirit • Bilingualism (French/English) required
