Job Description
Under the supervision of the parts manager, the warehouse clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and shipping automotive parts. He ensures the efficient organization of inventory, maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse, and carries out deliveries to customers, suppliers, and partners of the dealership. He contributes to the smooth operation of the parts department by ensuring the accuracy of received orders and the accessibility of parts.
The position holder must hold a skills card issued by the joint committee in regions subject to collective agreement decrees, when required.
Main Tasks
- Ensure the receipt, verification, and shipment of parts.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect orders to ensure their accuracy.
- Place parts in the appropriate locations according to established procedures.
- Maintain an effective filing system and ensure parts are easily accessible.
- Ensure that the shelves and storage areas of the parts department are adequately stocked and organized.
- Prepare orders for customers, workshops, and suppliers.
- Make deliveries of parts as needed for the dealership.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Box parts intended for return to the manufacturer or supplier during returns or warranty claims.
- Participate in periodic inventories and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain daily cleanliness of the parts department and warehouse by:
- Disposing of unnecessary boxes and packaging;
- Safely disposing of waste;
- Sweeping and cleaning floors;
- Cleaning bins and storage areas for parts.
- Comply with health and safety standards at work.
- Perform any other related tasks requested by immediate supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or in an automotive parts department.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift and move goods.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and provide customer service.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems.
- Bilingual
