About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and strategic Business Development Director to join our team. In a highly competitive market, this individual will play a key role in the company’s growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with automotive retailers. The ideal candidate is a skilled negotiator with in-depth knowledge of the automotive sector and a clear vision of market trends.

Track Garantie is currently planning its upcoming market entry into Ontario. This naturally brings a growing need to hire perfectly bilingual employees.

Main Responsibilities

Business Development and Sales

  • Identify, prospect, and establish partnerships with new automotive retailers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners to optimize their commitment to our products.
  • Develop sales and retention strategies tailored to market needs.
  • Analyze competition and adjust business approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to dealers to demonstrate the added value of our extended warranties.

Market Strategy and Vision

  • Keep track of automotive market trends, including the evolution of electric vehicles, new technologies, and consumer preferences.
  • Propose adjustments and innovations based on industry changes to ensure the company's competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with management to define strategic directions and contribute to the company's positioning.

Representation and Communication

  • Act as a brand ambassador by embodying the values of kindness, respect, integrity, innovation, and excellence.
  • Ensure an active presence at automotive events and trade shows to maximize the company's visibility.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting partners in the implementation and optimization of our solutions.

Performance Management and Follow-Up

  • Track performance indicators and produce regular reports on progress towards goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of business strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions to optimize results.
  • Participate in events to increase Track Garantie's visibility.

  • Proven experience in business development (ideally 5 to 10 years) B2B, preferably in the automotive or financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive market and emerging trends.
  • Strong network of contacts in the automotive industry (an asset).
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, results-oriented.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • High adaptability in a competitive environment.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to anticipate market developments.
  • High autonomy, rigor, organizational skills, and good time management.

  • Ability to establish rapport with clients, present information, and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and consider multiple types of variables.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability and interest in a role that is primarily road-based.

  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (communication in French is very important as our team is predominantly French-speaking, but communication in English is crucial as we now serve a growing English-speaking clientele).
