The City of Mirabel is looking for a passionate individual to fill the position of evening shift mechanic, a regular full-time employee, in the Equipment and Public Works Service.
Under the supervision of the mechanical workshop supervisor, the incumbent:
- Performs maintenance and repair of the fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery;
- Carries out work involving repair and assembly using different types of welding;
- Participates in the establishment and control of a parts inventory;
- Performs any other tasks related to their function or requested by management.

Desired profile
- Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in heavy-duty vehicle mechanics;
- Have three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
- Possess a mechanic's card issued by the Joint Committee of the automotive industry;
- Hold a valid Class 3 driver's license;
- Have experience in braking systems and automatic transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, and diesel injection systems;
- Have knowledge in electric arc welding;
- Own and provide a complete tool kit;
- Have appropriate skills, personality traits, and other personal qualities, such as attention to detail and good analytical ability.
Working hours:
The regular schedule is Monday to Thursday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
For the period from the third full week of April to the Friday before the first full week of November, the schedule is: Monday to Thursday from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Working conditions:
Salary and benefits are determined according to the provisions of the current collective agreement. More specifically, you will benefit from:
