Foundation in 1989

Mr. Théo Gosselin founded the company in 1989, which originally focused solely on tire sales. A self-taught and determined businessman, he successfully developed his business through his passion for quality work. At certain points in its history, the company has relied on the involvement of the Gosselin family. The small business quickly took off, adding tire installation the very next year. Subsequently, it expanded from 3 work bays to 7 in just a few years, becoming the largest tire retailer in Laval and its surrounding areas. The extensive inventory, product quality, and especially the quality of services allowed it to establish a strong position in the market.

New Generation, New Concepts

André Gosselin, the owner for 10 years, partnered in 2010 with Eric Lafrance, a key employee of the company for over 8 years. This leadership change breathed new life into the company, which now occupies a new building located at the current address, 1500 boul. Saint-Elzéar O. The partners then added an additional service: automotive mechanics. The company was renamed Théo Gosselin Tires | Mechanics and distinguished itself as the largest mechanical workshop in Laval.

Fiber Box Division

In 2013, Théo Gosselin Tires | Mechanics integrated a new fiber box division to offer customized service units tailored to commercial demand.

Major Acquisitions and Expansion

In 2014, the acquisition of the mechanical garage Atelier d’auto J. Bastien allowed for the development of a team of automotive mechanics, supervised by Charles Dubreuil, a seasoned expert passionate about quality work.

The company then joined the quality automotive parts banner, Napa AUTOPRO. To expand its services dedicated to businesses, Théo Gosselin Tires | Mechanics added a Discount rental center.

Continuing its momentum and expansion, the company became a member of the Ici Pneu group, a banner founded by the Touchette group, in 2017. More than ever, it has access to an endless inventory of tires, offering even more choices and services.

Lafrance Family: Second Generation

Since 2017, visionary owner Eric Lafrance has surrounded himself with his children and partner to continue the development of the company. Driven by the desire to make Théo Gosselin Tires | Mechanics a standout company that surpasses expectations, Eric is multiplying new projects. From the Gosselin family to the Lafrance family, the company remains guided by the same mission: to provide quality services and exceed customer expectations.
