About the role
Heidelberg Materials has a job opening for a 310T Licensed Mechanic located primarily at the plant in Ayr, Ontario. Consideration will also be given to 3rd or 4th year apprentices.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy trucks, trailers, and mobile equipment to maintain safe and reliable operation.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and support production needs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using appropriate diagnostic tools.
- Complete maintenance and repair work efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards.
- Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician licence.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair heavy truck and mobile equipment systems.
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to follow established procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Effective communication and organizational skills to support daily operations.
- Conditions of Employment: Successful candidate must submit to post‐offer pre‐employment background check.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
