Job Description
Voyago is hiring 310T Automotive Apprentice Mechanic (2nd - 4th year) for our Ottawa Garage.
About the role
You are responsible for evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance as required and all in compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines. You will utilize parts from inventory or order parts necessary through the Fleet Management software to make repairs. You will complete repairs in a timely manner. You will be servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. You will keep work environment clean and tidy. You will complete required reports as directed (i.e. sign-off on driver-initiated repair logs and log books, and PM service logs by division).
Scheduled Shift:
- Monday to Friday - 8 Hour Shift
Requirements
- Registered with the STO as 310T Automotive Apprentice Mechanic - must be in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
- ODP certification with A/C experience.
- Experience and working knowledge of light duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and sound organizational competencies.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Excellent proven customer service experience.
- Valid G class driving license.
- Safe driver with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.
