Job Description
Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited-Transaxle is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Duty Trucks 310T responsible for repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and all models of trailers to specific customer and industry-standard specifications.

Pay based on experience $35.00 - $45.00

Responsibilities
- Perform repairs to customer vehicles and trailers
- Perform basic welding functions
- Inform customer/manager of completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
- Monitor the profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality; minimize warranty claims and re-work
- Submit work orders for invoicing
- Maintain inventory and supplies
- Prepare list of required replacement parts
- Clean work area as required and maintain equipment
- Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards
Requirements
- Two to five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2+ years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess own tools and/or willingness to purchase tools required for the job as skill level and responsibilities advance
- Ability to lift parts up to 50+ lbs
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
Physical Requirements
- Must meet physical demands of lifting, pulling, moving heavy-duty truck parts in excess of 50 lbs
- Activities include walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, and pushing
Work Environment
- Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and temperature variances while performing primary duties
