About the role
We are hiring Licensed or Apprentice Diesel Mechanics Level 3/Technicians for our Timmins dealership at 2439 Riverside Drive, Timmins, ON P4R 1M9. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Service Manager. The role involves diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
- Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
- Perform general and detailed repairs of trucks, engines, and components.
- Document work performed.
- Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks and adjust as needed.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
- Attend training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T).
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a truck shop environment.
- Welding experience is an asset.
- Diagnostic tool experience is an asset.
- Good communication skills and work attitude.
- Quality driven.
- SAP experience is an asset.
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
- Criminal Record Check.
- Driver's Abstract.
- AZ/DZ License is an asset.
