Responsibilities
As a 310T Licensed Truck & Fleet Mechanic, you will:
- Conduct routine diagnostics and maintenance on fleet assets
- Perform required inspections according to regulatory and industry specifications
- Review driver inspection reports and complete required repairs
- Road test vehicles and perform diagnostic testing on vehicle systems and components
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Read and work from electrical and mechanical schematics
- Stay current with advances in vehicle repair systems, equipment, and technology
- Complete work orders in TMW and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance
- Monitor parts inventory and replenish parts as required
- Coach, guide, and provide technical oversight to Shop Apprentices
- Follow all workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Maintain a safe, clean, productive, and efficient work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- 310T certification
- 3-5 years of trade experience
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical systems
- Experience with schematics and diagnostics
- Ability and willingness to coach and mentor apprentices within a registered apprenticeship program
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
- Tools appropriate for fleet maintenance
- G Class driver's licence
- PC literacy with mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related software
Preferred:
- AZ driver's licence
- Welding experience
- Practical experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS)

Work Environment
You'll primarily work in a heavy equipment and fleet maintenance shop environment, performing hands-on service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. Safety, cleanliness, productivity, and teamwork are important parts of how we operate.

You'll work closely with:
- Mechanics and Apprentices
- Fleet Manager
- Drivers and Driver Services Team
- Warehouse Manager
- General Manager
You'll also provide technical oversight and mentorship to Apprentice Mechanics, making your experience an important part of developing our team.
