In this key role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding company-owned heavy-duty diesel trucks and related equipment, ensuring all assets operate reliably and in compliance with regulatory standards.
About the role
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and rebuild company-owned heavy-duty diesel trucks and related equipment.
- Ensure all assets operate reliably and comply with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair operational issues on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including diesel, CNG, gasoline, and electric-powered units.
- Perform thorough maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliability.
- Complete work orders, repair reports, and parts requests; perform required administrative tasks daily using fleet maintenance software.
- Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner and procure required parts.
- Review mechanical write-ups and coordinate schedules with operations.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with company and regulatory safety requirements.
- Maintain and utilize various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment; keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician license.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma preferred.
- Experience using diagnostic software is a strong asset.
- Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to satisfy all company safety-sensitive position standards.
