Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant / Accounting Technician to join our finance team at Les Moteurs Décarie, a premium dealership representing Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, and Bentley. You will work in an environment where operational excellence and high-level customer service are at the core of our priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and verify daily accounting transactions (purchases, sales, collections, and payments) and perform bank reconciliations.
- Manage supplier and customer accounts, ensure account reclassification, and facilitate balance monitoring.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly closures, prepare analyses and documents required for verifications and audits.
- Prepare financial reports and operational analyses for management (margins, costs, variances).
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to ensure the accuracy of stock and financial flow data.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and the strengthening of internal controls.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting or finance (DEC/BAC) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general and analytical accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience with an ERP system and inventory management is a plus.
- Good command of French and English.
- Rigor, discretion, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Ideally: experience in the automotive or retail sector and knowledge of inventory practices.
