Centre du Pneu Papineau, a qualified automotive service center specializing in mechanic work and tires, has been proud to offer exceptional customer service since 1999 on Papineau Avenue, near Plateau-Mont-Royal in Montreal. We are a retailer of new tires and a preferred tire installer in Montreal. Our workshop is equipped with the latest tools to perform repairs on American, Asian, and European cars, and we adhere to the maintenance standards of automobile dealerships.
Job Description We are looking for a Clerk / Accounting Technician to support daily financial and administrative activities and contribute to the accuracy of our accounting data and process efficiency. Under the supervision of the accounting manager, you will collaborate with various departments and actively participate in account management and reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Data entry and management of accounting documents (customer and supplier accounts)
- Invoice management, recording payments, and customer follow-up
- Bank reconciliations and account balancing
- Preparation of simple financial reports and support for monthly closings
- Expense report management, deposits, and accounting documentation
- Assistance with inventory and preparation of month-end statements
- Collaboration with other departments to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role or as an accounting clerk
- Education in accounting (DEC/DEP or equivalent) or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Excel and general knowledge of common accounting software
- Rigor, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork
- Excellent communication skills in French; English is an asset
