Hyundai Sherbrooke, Garage Renaud Fortier Inc., Hyundai dealer in Sherbrooke and family business, continues to grow to better serve its customers. As part of our development, we are hiring a Clerk / Accounting Technician.
Job Description
- Ensure the entry and processing of daily accounting transactions (supplier and customer invoices, expense reports, payments, bank reconciliations, etc.).
- Participate in the monthly closing cycle and the production of internal and external reports.
- Ensure electronic archiving and document management of accounting figures.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Service departments to resolve discrepancies and respond to reporting requests.
- Provide administrative support related to the accounting department and, if necessary, payroll, while maintaining the confidentiality of information.
- Respect deadlines, procedures, and principles of professional ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in accounting (DEP or DEC) or equivalent experience; at least 1 year of experience in an accounting position (accounts payable/receivable).
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite (advanced Excel); knowledge of accounting software is essential (e.g., SAGA, Sage, QuickBooks, or other ERP).
- Excellent organizational skills, thoroughness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
- Fluent in French; working knowledge of English is considered an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; discretion and confidentiality.
