Job Description

Automotive and Equipment Service Technician

Join our team as an Automotive and Equipment Service Technician in Christina Lake (FIFO role). Enjoy a 7/7 rotation schedule with all tools and equipment provided. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet, ensuring operational reliability and safety in remote environments. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating closely with safety leadership and other teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles and support equipment including trucks, generators, ATVs, and more.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and detailed diagnostics.
  • Use OEM platforms and tools to repair and confirm equipment functionality.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance logs, and parts ordering.
  • Provide oversight and technical guidance to contracted labor.
  • Uphold strict safety standards and actively engage in hazard mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years as Automotive Service Technician Journeyman.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with Air Brake endorsement.
  • Certifications in H2S Alive and Standard First Aid.
  • Ability to work independently in remote FIFO settings.
  • Technical expertise in advanced diagnostics, electrical, hydraulic, and A/C systems.

Assets:

  • Red Seal Journeyman Certification.
  • Experience with Ford and Kubota equipment.
  • Background in oil & gas, mining or remote industrial environments.
