STARLINE WINDOWS LTD is seeking an Automotive Mechanic in Surrey, British Columbia.
Responsibilities
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Discuss work with supervisor
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect motor in operation
- Test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 5 years or more of experience
- Experience with automated guided vehicle (AGV) equipment
- Specializations in diagnostics, brake systems, fuel and emission systems, automatic and standard transmissions, auto body repair, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
