Job Summary
Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on cars, trucks, buses, and heavy vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation. Use mechanical and electronic troubleshooting techniques while maintaining accurate service records and following safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical, diesel, and electrical faults using manual and computerized diagnostic tools.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and replace components per manufacturer specifications.
- Test vehicles after repairs, make adjustments, and complete road tests.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate repair status.
- Maintain tools and equipment, enforce safety procedures, and assist in training junior technicians.
Requirements
- Completion of recognized automotive, truck, or diesel mechanic program or equivalent experience.
