Job Description
Centennial Nissan Charlottetown is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Automotive Technician for a 3 month contract.
About the role
- Location: Centennial Nissan, Charlottetown, PE
- Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and every other Saturday 8am to 12pm
- Wages: Competitive flat-rate equivalent to $28.00–$35.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles: perform accurate and timely diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services on a wide range of vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance: conduct regular vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid level checks, and filter replacements.
- Inspect and test vehicles: conduct thorough inspections and test drives to identify mechanical issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment: utilize advanced diagnostic tools, software, and equipment to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Follow manufacturer specifications when performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Document services and repairs: maintain detailed records of services performed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by keeping the work area organized and following safety protocols.
- Ongoing training: continuously update technical knowledge and skills through training and workshops.
- Collaborate with team members including other technicians, service advisors, and dealership staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Licensed Red Seal Endorsement Certificate is preferred, or currently working towards Automotive Technician Red Seal Certificate.
- PEI Motor Vehicle Inspection License considered an asset.
- Knowledgeable in vehicle electrical systems and fault diagnostics.
- Excellent standards of quality control and accurate record-keeping.
- Attention to detail ensuring precision in all tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
