Les Camions Gilbert Inc., a family-owned company established in 1968 and specialized in the heavy vehicle industry, is seeking an experienced Dent Repair Technician to join our team in Beauceville, Quebec. With several hundred heavy trucks for sale and an international network, our company offers recognized expertise and personalized service in a professional and pressure-free environment. Our teams work in mechanical, welding, sandblasting, bodywork, and painting fields, and we assemble specialized trucks to meet our clients' specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the work area
- Replace front-end and chassis components of heavy vehicles, doors, chassis parts, and underbody components
- File, grind, and sand surfaces to be repaired
- Mask and secure truck surfaces in preparation for painting using adhesive tape
- Dent body panels using blocks and hammers
- Remove damaged bumpers, panels, and grilles and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces
- Repair or replace interior elements
- Mix paint and match colors
- Use welding equipment or plastic filler to level holes, dents, and joints
- Straighten frames using tensioning and chassis anchoring equipment
Requirements and candidate profile
- Minimum experience: 3 years in a similar position (heavy vehicle dent repair and bodywork)
- Proficiency in dent repair, sanding, masking, and applying primers and finishing paints
- Skills in repairing or replacing interior elements and in mixing paints
- Ability to use welding tools and plastic filling materials, as well as straighten frames with the appropriate equipment
- Rigor, attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and team spirit
- Relevant training in bodywork/dent repair or related field would be an asset
