Job Description
GENX Automotive Group, located in Repentigny, Quebec, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Buyer to optimize our supply chain and support the development of our fleet. Under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating and acquiring vehicles that meet operational needs and budgets, ensuring quality and profitability.
Main Responsibilities
- Negotiate and close vehicle purchases in collaboration with suppliers and dealerships, respecting cost, quality, and deadline objectives.
- Analyze offers, compare proposals, and recommend the best procurement solutions.
- Monitor the purchase cycle, orders, receipt, and inventory of vehicles.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners within the automotive network.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, budgets, and legal and tax requirements.
- Participate in the evaluation and continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
- Collaborate with other departments (finance, operations, sales) to optimize fleet turnover and profitability.
Profile
- Minimum of three years of experience in vehicle purchasing or a similar role in the automotive industry.
- Analytical mindset and skills in negotiation and contract management.
- Proficiency with computer tools (ERP/Excel) and ability to work with data and KPIs.
- Organizational skills, rigor, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and team spirit; results-oriented.
