Job Description
Honda of Terrebonne, a Honda dealership known for its excellent service and customer experience, is seeking a motivated professional to fill the position of Vehicle Buyer and support our procurement team.
Position Type: Vehicle Buyer Required Experience: at least 1 year in purchasing or procurement, ideally in the automotive field
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and secure purchases of new and used vehicles while respecting budgets and deadlines.
- Manage the complete purchasing cycle: needs analysis, supplier selection, price and terms negotiation, order placement and follow-up, receipt and verification.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distribution networks, and sector partners.
- Analyze market trends and total cost of ownership to optimize purchasing and margins.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure stock availability and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor performance indicators (costs, deadlines, delivery quality) and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts.
Profile
- Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing/procurement, ideally in the automotive or vehicle retail sector.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency with computer tools (ERP and Excel); knowledge of procurement management software is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, results-oriented, rigorous, and organized.
- Bilingual (French/English) is a plus; knowledge of the automotive sector is preferred.
- Relevant degree in procurement management, logistics, administration, or equivalent experience.
