Job Description
We are seeking a Controller to join the Complexe Kia financial team in Montreal. Reporting directly to the President, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the Finance Department, with a strategic role in optimizing accounting processes and the company’s financial health.
Role and responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire end-to-end accounting cycle;
- Produce and analyze monthly and annual financial statements;
- Manage the payroll process and ensure compliance with applicable standards;
- Perform and supervise month-end and year-end procedures;
- Ensure inventory financing management and relationships with financial institutions;
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls;
- Participate in the development of budgets and monitoring of financial performance;
- Supervise and coach the accounting department staff;
- Collaborate with management in financial and operational decision-making.
Profile and requirements:
- Experience in the automotive field (a major asset);
- Strong mastery of the complete accounting cycle and financial statements;
- Excellent people management and communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills, rigor and autonomy;
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software (SERTI / Nethris);
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required, ideally in the automotive sector.
