KPI Solutions Dealer Network is seeking an Accounting Expert to directly assist clients with their accounting and operational challenges.

This is a field consulting role, aimed at an experienced individual who wishes to bring their expertise to multiple dealerships, work in diverse environments, and make a tangible impact.

Your Role

As an Accounting Expert, you will work with management, controllers, and administrative teams to understand their realities, identify issues, and propose tailored solutions.

Depending on the assignments, you may support and train a team, review processes, assist with month-end procedures, participate in reorganizations, or temporarily ensure the continuity of certain operations.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Analyze practices and the functioning of accounting departments;
• Assess the quality and reliability of financial information;
• Support controllers and teams in their daily, monthly, and annual operations;
• Assist in the preparation, review, and production of financial statements;
• Identify discrepancies, issues, and opportunities for improvement;
• Optimize working methods, procedures, and accounting processes;
• Review, when required, task distribution and departmental organization;
• Develop and implement action plans;
• Train and develop controllers, accounting clerks, and administrative resources;
• Assist new hires in their onboarding;
• Optimize the use of DMS and their integration into accounting processes;
• Participate in reorganizations, transitions, acquisitions, or practice improvement projects;
• Occasionally assume certain accounting responsibilities to support the continuity of client operations.

The Ideal Candidate

We are primarily looking for someone with solid experience in dealership accounting who can quickly understand a new environment, grasp its challenges, and become a credible reference for clients.

• Significant experience in accounting within the automotive dealership sector;
• Experience as a controller or in an equivalent accounting role;
• Excellent knowledge of the accounting cycle and financial operations of a dealership;
• Ability to prepare, analyze, and explain financial statements;
• Excellent knowledge of SERTI / Keyloop;
• Knowledge of other automotive DMS systems is a plus;
• Experience in training, supporting, or developing teams;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Autonomy, judgment, rigor, and organizational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build trust;
• Ability to adapt to different environments, teams, and management styles;
• Willingness to travel as required by assignments.

A Role Beyond Traditional Accounting

This position is particularly suited to someone who wants to leverage their expertise differently.

You won’t be limited to a single department or organization. You will have the opportunity to discover various realities, solve diverse problems, share your expertise, and directly contribute to improving operations for our clients.

Work is primarily onsite at client dealerships, mainly in the Montreal area and elsewhere in Quebec. Some follow-ups may be conducted remotely depending on the nature of the assignments.
