Job Summary
- Assist sales consultants with transactions;
- Sell or lease cars according to customer satisfaction standards of the dealership;
- Assist the sales director with administrative tasks and replace them in their absence.
Main Tasks
- Ensure that sales consultants follow up with clients;
- Participate in training new sales consultants;
- Identify the training needs of the sales team;
- Write reports on the progress of interns or new sales consultants during their training and probation periods;
- Help the sales management set realistic monthly goals for each sales consultant;
- Share responsibility with sales management for planning the sales team meetings;
- Collaborate on vehicle exchanges between dealerships;
- Approve transactions upon supervisor’s request;
- Assist sales management with administrative tasks such as listing used vehicles on the dealership website, promotional sites, advertising, or inventory;
- Stay informed about new products, programs, and current promotions from manufacturers and/or financial institutions;
- Participate in planning and monitoring the display of vehicles in the showroom and parking area;
- Coordinate the snow removal team’s work.
Sales-Related Tasks
- Advise on new and used cars according to dealership customer satisfaction standards;
- Maintain a customer follow-up system that promotes customer satisfaction;
- Maintain a customer development system;
- Know and understand all federal, provincial, and municipal laws governing retail automobile sales;
- Attend training courses on products and customer assistance;
- Stay informed about new products, features, accessories, and their benefits for customers;
- Attend sales team meetings.
