The Detailer pre-washes vehicles prior to moving them into production, and cleans and details all assigned vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer. The position is also responsible for completing general repair facility cleaning responsibilities while working with all team members in achieving the repair facilities KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush or by washing equipment
- Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body
- Protect and preserve automobile exterior by buffing, polishing and applying waxes
- Vacuum, shampoo, add air freshener and clean vehicle interior (some stain removal may be required)
- Keep shop clean by sweeping and daily emptying of garbage containers
- Maintain a clean and organized parking lot at all times
- Power wash the shop floor, as required (to reduce appearance of dirt)
- Maintain and organize the vehicles in the parking lot daily (including keys, floor mats and RO signs)
- Implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met
- Contribute directly to the shop’s efficiency and a positive Net Promoter Score (NPS)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and working under pressure
- Frequently required to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift in excess of 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
