Job Description
The holder of the position of Service Advisor / Internal Technical Advisor is responsible for the efficient distribution of work among technicians to optimize workshop productivity, meet vehicle delivery deadlines, and ensure customer satisfaction. They act as the primary link between technical advisors, technicians, and the service management.
Job Objective
Ensure an optimal workflow within the workshop to maximize technician productivity, reduce waiting times, and provide an exceptional customer experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assign repair orders to technicians based on their skills, certifications, and workload.
- Ensure balanced management of work to maximize workshop efficiency.
- Monitor repair progress and adjust priorities as needed.
- Ensure timely delivery commitments to customers are met.
- Communicate regularly with technical advisors regarding work progress.
- Identify and resolve issues that could affect workshop workflow.
- Check technicians’ availability and coordinate urgent or priority work.
- Monitor workshop performance indicators (productivity, efficiency, billable hours, etc.).
- Collaborate with the parts department to ensure availability of components necessary for repairs.
- Maintain an organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in an automotive service department or related role.
- Good knowledge of workshop operations.
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with workshop management software and common computer tools.
