Job description

This confidential opportunity is with a reputable automotive dealership in Hawkesbury, Ontario. We are seeking a Financial Services Manager to lead the sale of insurance, loans, and vehicle protection plans. The role emphasizes informed, ethical guidance, outstanding customer service, and a strong focus on helping customers find affordable protection and financing options that fit their needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct friendly consultations to present insurance, loan, and protection plan options; explain terms, coverage, and pricing in clear, non-technical language.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers by delivering a transparent, no-pressure experience at the point of sale and post-sale follow-up.
  • Partner with sales colleagues and management to develop personalized protection plans aligned with a customer’s vehicle purchase and budget.
  • Manage the application and documentation process, ensuring accuracy, privacy, and compliance with dealership policies and applicable laws.
  • Coordinate with lenders, insurance providers, and product partners to secure appropriate financing and protection options.
  • Meet or exceed agreed-upon sales targets for protection products; monitor performance and adjust approaches as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, pricing, and eligibility; participate in ongoing training.
  • Keep clear, accurate records in the dealership’s systems; protect customer information and privacy.
  • Provide coaching and support to team members on how to present and sell protection products.
  • Assist customers with post-sale questions, claims, or service-related concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience selling insurance, loans, and vehicle warranties, ideally within an automotive environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex products in simple terms.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
  • Proficiency with basic computer software and experience with customer relationship management systems; willingness to learn new systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and French are a plus, but not required.

Business development

Deal with the financing and leasing of vehicles according to the standards of financial institutions
Delivery of documentation and signatures
Effectively complete sales and rental forms
Ensure that financing and insurance fees are collected
Obtain and verify credit applications.
Payment manipulation during transactions
Revise the sales contracts
Take down payments and issue receipts.
