With a population of just over 9000 people and a median age of 37, it is a family friendly community with plenty of special events such as winter carnivals, regatta's, music festivals and more.

Labrador Motors Ltd. will cover all relocation costs for the selected candidate. Company housing or assistance in securing accommodation's best suited for the selected candidate will also be provided.

What you will do

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of Service and Parts departments to achieve service revenue, gross profit, CSI targets, and staffing goals.
  • Develop and implement efficient service workflows, technician scheduling, and appointment management to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Hire, train, coach, and manage a high-performing team of service advisors, technicians, and parts personnel; conduct regular performance reviews and nurture a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with GM brand standards, warranty procedures, and dealership policies; monitor recall campaigns and maintenance programs.
  • Manage shop safety, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep; optimize parts inventory and supplier relationships to support service speed and profitability.
  • Oversee fixed operations P&L, monitor labor utilization, parts margins, and warranty costs; develop budgets, forecasts, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Drive customer experience initiatives across the service cycle, from intake to after-service follow-up; address escalated concerns with professionalism and compassion.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure a seamless, end-to-end customer journey from purchase through ongoing maintenance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including staff development, process enhancements, and adherence to industry best practices.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fixed operations management within a franchised automotive dealership; proven track record of increasing service revenue and elevating customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Solid understanding of service department operations, including warranty processing, parts management, scheduling, and safety compliance.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and service software; data-driven mindset with the ability to translate metrics into action.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and conflict-resolution skills; capable of managing escalated situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks.
  • Post-secondary education in business, automotive service management, or a related field is preferred.
